Inspirational Note from Mission Coordinator, Laura Reyes:

Children are a
gift, born to be nurtured, loved and cared for,
but in remote
underprivileged areas of the world this is far from reality.
It is evident that abuse, psychological trauma, and malnutrition are the core factors of their lives.

The world sees this epidemic evolving and has grown to be so sensitized to this type of news that it does nothing. We as individuals are always assuming someone else will take care of it, or maybe it will just go away on its own.
Lets not look away, lets be bold and put our efforts into turning these issues around, I dare you to be one of the few compelled to take action.
Let’s not allow
these children to become another statistic, always remembering when we
were children “oh” so helpless, naïve, and innocent.
It is hard to watch these little ones play
knowing that they have nothing to look forward to in the future,
if the future ever arrives.

Will you step up
to the plate and make a difference in a child’s life.
If you look hard
enough you might just discover that you could have been one of these
children. Was your childhood blessed or do you see yourself in one of
them?
Humbly in Your Service,
