William Dise leads a mission to Johannesburg:
A Note from a Quantas Team Volunteer:
Dear William,
I'd like to pass on my thanks to you and all the AA team for a wonderful four days together in J'burg. I feel the trip was a huge success for a number of reasons. Firstly the amount we were able to achieve in J'burg and the lives everyone touched. I've often said to the guys doing our QCCT trips while achievement is important the fact you are there is more important. I don't think we have any idea of the considerable impact of the trip. In Zimbabwe we always felt our visits resulted in momentum for the people we helped and a lifting of morale. I'm sure the same has occurred in J'burg. Secondly what we have learned from working alongside your team and talking about how things could be done differently. Thirdly a lifting of energy amongst QCCT from such a large and successful project. Fourthly an increasing stature at Qantas which is so important for future work. One of my highlights was seeing you at the hotel and embrassing you, it was a realisation of a wonderful goal. Getting 60 people to J'burg making them work for four days, organising the local connections, shipping the freight and above all having a great time helping disadvantaged people. When the dust settles it would be good to connect on the phone to review the trip and where we go from here. I value your friendship, your leadership and the great team you brought all the way to J'burg. Warm regards Glenn
