Every weekend, the El Hornerito Children’s Soup Kitchen provides a hot meal and a measure of comfort to 130 children living in this impoverished and underserved area just outside Buenos Aires. For these young children, the sustenance supplied at El Hornerito is their only meal of the day.

Staffed entirely by community volunteers and one unpaid caretaker, the soup kitchen has stayed afloat on a shoestring budget mostly provided by individual donors.

With the economic downturn, donations have dwindled and the soup kitchen is
desperately struggling to buy food for the children and to pay utility
bills.

Please donate whatever you can to make sure the children don’t go to bed

impact in the lives of the children.
