American Airlines Flight Attendant, Carol Ludington, accompanied Johanna to Louisville several months ago where she underwent surgery that gave her actual ears and allowed her to hear for the first time.

On Jan. 14, Carol was able to return her to her grateful family in Quito.

My trip to pick up Johanna and return her to her family in Quito went very smoothly. She was a delight as a travel partner. She had grown 2 inches and had some dental work right before her flight home but was such a trooper. The entire viewing gallery at Quito was filled with her family and friends....what a reunion!!!
