Ambar Petion and Eagle Flight Attendant, Isabel Moss

Miami Eagle Flight Attendant, Isabel Moss, writes to Director of the Children's Escort Program, Margaret Whitehead, and tells her Escort Story.

"In October 2008, I had the divine privilege of escorting a remarkable little girl by the name of Ambar Petion.  Ambar is a five year old from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic who was diagnosed with severe heart problems.  I volunteered to escort Ambar to St. Louis, Missouri and needless to say she stole my heart.

Escorting little Ambar was such an enjoyable trip.  We colored pictures and played educational games while enjoying our time to her final destination.  A few weeks later, the host family was kind enough to contact me and inform me that Ambar’s surgery did go well.  I was so relieved that everything went fine.  I was also touched to hear that little Ambar had asked about me while holding up drawings that we colored together.

I will forever miss that little angel.  May God bless her and bring her joy and happiness as she did for me on that wonderful trip."
