January 2009:

Jim Ware, the American Eagle GM at Houston Hobby did an escort from Quito to Phoenix on Tuesday, accompanying Samir, age 10.

Samir will have a surgical procedure this week and we are all hopeful it will go well for him.

Jim shared some thoughts about spending time with Samir.

"I first want to say what a privilege it was to be able to spend the day with Samir. He is a great little guy and I hope today's procedures are a full success.

I hope to be able to be a part of escorting him home in the future. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of Samir's adventure to a better quality of life."
