Here are a few pictures from our Spring Break trip to Guatemala.
My daughters, Kasey (18) and Stephanie (15), collected funds at their high school, Ursuline Academy.
They chose to use the money to send some Guatemalan children to school through the Mayan Families organization.
We also brought ten crates of shoes to Mayan Families and lots of candy and treats.
We had a wonderful time distributing "Los zapatos" to the children and their mothers. My younger daughter Lucy (10), also took part in the fundraising at her school, St. Peter's of Kirkwood.
"This was our fourth AAI trip for us. It is a truly incredible experience to share as a family.
My kids have witnessed heart-breaking poverty. I am proud of them for sharing these experiences with their classmates and teachers and friends, and their continuing fundraising efforts."
