Peace and Cooperation School Competition and Award

Join Airline Ambassadors' President and Founder, Nancy Rivard, in the United Nations Press Room on February 13 for this year's announcement of the School Award Competition. 

You may attend the "Peace and the United Nations" event by contacting Airline Ambassadors by February 10 to gain access to this occasion!

Peace and Cooperation School Competition and Award

In 2009, the Peace and Cooperation School Award pays tribute to the teachers and school children around the world who endeavor to live together and in peace.  The United Nations' Declaration of Human Rights says that education should be directed to strengthening respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms.   Education should promote understanding, tolerance, and friendship  among nations to maintain peace.

Every year, the UN dedicates Sept. 21st to observe an International Day of Peace.

Airline Ambassadors, the World Association of Early Childhood Educators, and Peace and Cooperation take the recommendaton of the Sec. General and call upon students, teachers, and schools to actively participate.
