Patty McPeak discusses future plans to help El Salvador

|
Nancy and I met Patty McPeak
(the founder and president of the NanaCea
Foundation and board director of Airline
Ambassadors) in this beautiful country.
The Fuller Center for Housing!!

|
We also met with Millard Fuller, the founder and president of the Fuller Center for Housing. There was a week long program called Blitzville going on in which 100 American and Canadian volunteers were building 100 houses for the community.
When we arrived, they had already completed 16 homes. It was just magical to see all these people (foreign and local) working together to build comfortable and cozy homes for these families in need and just in time for Christmas. We are collaborating with the Fuller Center to create ongoing missions and send AAI volunteers to continue this wonderful work.
Join them in January, February or March.

The next day, we met the minister of the Interior and agreed to launch a Breast Cancer Stamp. This stamp has been commercialized in many countries (USA, Hungary, Belize, Kenya, Micronesia…) and its benefits go directly in Breast Cancer research. For the first time in history, the same stamp has been launched in many countries all over the world for a World Cause:
“Fund the Fight, Find a Cure”.
William Delivers Again!

|
In the afternoon, we went to Ilabasco with William Dise, our Denver regional director, and Ana Hedstrom, a flight attendant for American Airlines, to hand-deliver humanitarian aid to hundreds of people. William Dise shipped over 100 boxes of clothing, food, newborn kits and more on American Airlines….our team hand delivered the gifts with love…often with a big hug as well.
And...More Gratitude

|
It was a unique and delightful experience to see how grateful El Salvadorians could be and it makes you feel that you are truly making a difference in their lives. We visited old folks homes too.
Dinner, Discussions, and Dedication

|
We finished our trip with a luncheon with the First Lady of El Salvador, Sra. Ana Ligia Sol de Saca at the Presidential Palace where Airline Ambassadors, Patty McPeak and William Dise received awards for their work and devotion to El Salvador.
Please join Cesar Calderon, our amazing in-country liaison, for our upcoming missions in
El Salvador!
