Dominican Republic
Coordinator:  Daniel Sheth

Join AAI Directors’ H.E. Ambassador Francisco Lorenzo and Treasurer Daniel Sheth on a life changing journey through the coastal and mountainous areas of the Dominican Republic.

Poverty levels and the number of homeless, parentless and neglected children are rising at accelerating rates at a time when aid into the country is diminishing.

We are calling you to action to serve the beautiful but deprived children of the Dominican Republic.  AAI has shipped over 950,000 pounds of aid in form of much needed school kits, clothing pallets, hygiene kits and orphanage modules.  Join us in hand delivering this aid, along with toys and locally procured food, to ten schools, three orphanages and an HIV Center.

Please review the Dominican Republic Brochure for the itinerary and approximate costs.

For more information about the Dominican Republic trip and if you would like to attend, please contact Daniel Sheth via email (daniel.sheth@gmail.com) or phone (917) 748-2544 for more information.

11/22/09 to 11/29/09

12/11/09 to 12/19/09

Other dates can be arranged if there is a group of people interested. 2010 trips are in the process of being scheduled.

Homes from the Heart and the Fuller Center for Housing are 22 houses through a 60-home community in San Luis Talpa, El Salvador.

The neighborhood, dubbed Villa Linda and Millard Fuller, goes beyond basic shelter by creating a cooperative living environment, open community spaces, and operating infrastructure.

Through Airline Ambassadors, this unique opportunity provides work teams with a real opportunity to get dirty and have a solid impact on the local people. Volunteers have the opportunity to interact and work alongside current and future home owners to build their neighborhood from the ground up. All volunteers will have the opportunity to help make concrete and pour walls for multiplex housing units. Other participatory possibilities include improving green spaces and community aesthetics, helping to develop micro-business plans and community cooperation, and working with families and children to develop healthy and sustainable lifestyles.

Volunteers will be housed in the Fuller Center’s beachfront property close to the worksite. Ground transportation and most meals will be provided.

Please review your itinerary and the registration information in our

El Salvador Brochure!

2010 Trip Below
Nicaragua
Coordinator: Adriana Gonzalez

2010 Trip

04/22/10 to 04/27/10

Please join Airline Ambassadors and Flutemaker Ministries in a humanitarian mission to Nicaragua. We will launch projects to help orphaned and abandoned children in the area of Somoto named "The Kids of Cascabel".

The " Kids of Cascabel Project" supports Pastor Carlos Baez who found 18 children at the Somoto garbage dump and rescued them. Having no resources to sustain them, Pastor Carlos linked up with Erik the Flutemaker, whom he met in 2006. Erik, his friends, and his family began to help feed, clothe and educate these children now known as the Kids of Cascabel. Today, Pastor Carlos and his wife, Lorena, and a small group of helpers have expanded their care to include 31 children who receive food, clothing, education and medical care through donations provided through the supporters of the Kids of Cascabel.

Join us in providing nutrition, clothing, housing and education to children who have no chance of escaping their dire circumstances without the assistance of those outside their community.

Please visit the Nicaragua Brochure to find out more.

You may contact Mission Coordinator, Adriana Gonzalez, for more information about the incredible opportunity!

Coordinator:  trips@airlineamb.org

Join AAI and the

St. Bernard Project in New Orleans!

The St. Bernard Project is a non-profit

organization assisting families who wish

to move back into their homes in the St.

Bernard Parish.  They are mainly a

rebuilding organization that uses

volunteer labor and donations to

purchase building materials to rebuild

homes.

As an AAI volunteer and team member,

you will be building someone’s house so be prepared to work hard and to the best of your ability.

Some activities you can expect to be doing include installing insulation and drywall, mudding, texturing, painting, installing floors, yard work and much more.  No experience is necessary as they will train us to do the work.  We will work hard but there will also be opportunities to meet families in the area and to enjoy the wonderful food and culture of New Orleans.
