Margaret Whitehead,
Director of the
Children's Escort Program,
shares Escort Stories!
Campaigns

In June, AAI volunteers joined Fine Living TV in a videotaping and a Surprise Vacation
honoring AAI's founders -- as a thank you for their work on behalf of children. The show will air, in August, as part of a TV series...stay posted!
Members met with Right to Play regarding planned future AAI trips promoting the Red Ball, t-shirts, and sports programs for children.
An August Mexico mission is
planned to deliver back backs,
school supplies, food and more to our favorite two orphanages in Ensenada.
To our members, donors, and
volunteers:
Thank you, for your on- going
support for these children who
face such extreme poverty,
on-going violence, and most
recently, the Swine Flu!
*All donations are tax deductible.

Call To Action
Cambodian children need
sponsorships now!
Following the June
Cambodia/Thailand Trip,
Airline Ambassadors'
volunteers returned with
a message to our
members here at home.
The Cambodia Children's Fund desperately needs sponsorships for 68
children who live at the local dump, which will be closing in July.
Scott Neeson, former head of Twentieth Century Fox, dropped everything
to move to Cambodia and support children living at the local dump. He is providing shelter, education, food and medical care to hundreds of
children. Airline Ambassadors invites you to join us in supporting Scott's efforts. Time is short.
Please visit the Airline Ambassadors' Children's Sponsorship page for more information. Join us to visit your sponsored child in Cambodia on our very special trip this October. Thank you for your generous support!
Happenings

Airline Ambassadors' members
returned from the May, South
Africa Trip with stories and
memories to last a lifetime.
South Africa Mission
Coordinator, Silviya Simmonds,
began her report saying, "I wish
you could have seen the joy,
fun, and uplifted spirits that the
visit brought.
"Maria said she hadn’t seen the
children so happy...I know the
impact of this visit will have a
lasting effect.

"One of the older boys cried
when he saw his room painted
and new duvets on the beds -
we take these "little" things so
much for granted, but without
outside help, this would never
happen...What a lovely positive
group -- full of fun, enthusiasm,
compassion and caring and just
rearing to help and get to
work!!"
Painting Maria's Creche,
planting gardens, delivering
books. feeding giraffes, patting
lion cubs, and Flea Market finds
were all part of the African
Adventure.

Egda Avila, South Africa Mission
Volunteer reminisces, “Meeting
Maria was amazing. Her
passion for the kids and her
community is so admirable. We
felt like part of the family and
got so close to each of them,
needless to say, it was so hard
to leave."

Thank you to everyone for
making the May Trip another
memorable success!

Haiti
A Mission to Help her Children

Feed the minds and the hearts of
underprivileged children by
increasing their literacy rate and by giving them your time and
attention in a safe, clean learning
environment. Join Airline
Ambassadors and Edeyo in Haiti!
You will be helping children, who
have had no previous access to
education, with math and reading
skills respective to their grade
levels. Once at risk of falling
through the cracks due to
rampant poverty and the high level
of corruption in the country, these
children now have a better
alternative through education.
Thanks to Edeyo, these children now have a safe place to learn, and a
meal to sustain them.
Help Airline Ambassadors and
Edeyo bring structure and a sense
of ease to the otherwise chaotic
environment surrounding these
children. You will create artwork,
plant gardens, paint, and deliver
aid. Port au Prince will feed your
heart and soul and captivate you,
too!
Good food, great music and beautiful art will complete the cultural
experience. For more, visit the Haiti Brochure and enjoy the AAI Haiti
Movie, featuring the music of Melky Jean!
Bravo to:
AAI Mission Coordinator and Hawaii Regional Director, Deborah Quigley

In June, Deborah led AAI
members to Cambodia and
Thailand for a trip to remember!
Deborah explains that returning
home to "normalcy... is nothing to
take lightly after witnessing such
need from so many beautiful
children and their caregivers."
Her message to the volunteers
continues, "I can't thank each of
you enough for sharing your generous love, energy,
and glowing spirit with everyone we met and with each of us as a team."
Please visit our site to see the Cambodia/Thailand Report and don't miss the Hilltribe Children's Performance, too!
