Call to Action - eCampaign for Casa de Paz, Mexico-

Orphanage Needs Help Now with Heating Bill

A Report from our Mission Coordinator, Becky Gahman:

"Casa de Paz is an orphanage close to La Mission,

Mexico.

They house more than 60 children, 10 of them with

special needs. They are feeling the impact of the slower

US economy and have many needs and fewer funds to

support them. The children sleep in unheated buildings

and besides the normal other necessities like medical

and cleaning supplies, food and clothing. They are

financially in dire straits.

They are 3 months behind on their Propane bill which is $1400

and last I knew they were going to have their electricity cut off on

November 18th unless they came up with $900. They also, I

believe have only one washer and dryer. So, as you can see their

needs are many but the most pressing concern would be in

keeping the electricity running."
